Tom has been chair of the board of the Black Church Print Studio from 2000 to 2003 and a founding member and Chair of Independent Studio Artists Ltd in Temple Bar, Dublin from 1997 to 2001. Tom is currently a committee member of Nordic Summer University – “Study Circle 7 into Artistic Research”.

Tim joined the University of Chester in 2007 and teaches on the BA Photography programme. Tim has a background in editorial and documentary photography and has published and exhibited his work widely. Tim also publishes his own artist's books through Fugitive Press.

Stephen Clarke

Stephen Clarke is an artist and writer. His research and practice are concerned with the representation of place; this often relates to travel and engagement with Cultural Heritage. Stephen’s work explores the connections between photography, collage and graphic image making, and is informed by his of on-going discourse with several artists.

As an artist and academic with a history rooted in textiles, Maxine’s teaching, research, and creative practice are informed by the multiple, complex and often contradictory social, historical and cultural conventions of the medium and the positioning of these conventions within a contemporary fine art context.

Alan’s design practice explores the tension between layers of physical and digital information within objects and environments. He works with augmented and virtual realities to illuminate how digital narratives sit upon the landscapes we inhabit and communicate to us within the objects we use.

Dr Cian Quayle is a practicing artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally. Cian’s practice finds its basis in artist journeys and through the encounters and relationships with place and people which follow. This includes the use of family snapshots, found photographs and other forms of vernacular photography.

My research explores photographic culture in the context of the internet, digital technology and social media. I am interested in how digital technologies shape our ways of seeing, interpreting and communicating in art, social and cultural contexts.
Dr Simon Grennan

Dr Simon Grennan is an established visual artist specialising in word/image, an educator and an awarded scholar of narrative drawing, with particular expertise in the histories of drawing, comics, remediation and inter-media. He is a recognised theorist of the pedagogic relationship between practice and research and an experienced, public facing practitioner.
